We are a small breeder and are breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels because we love the breed.
We always wanted
to get into breeding and when we discovered this breed we knew
it was the one. We
did alot of research on them and decided to
search for our first puppy. We found her and named her Casey
and have been delighted ever since.
As time passes we hope our breeding program grows with
as
much
love as she has. You can check her out on our girls page. She was born in 2005 and had her
first litter in 2007. I've been breeding the beautiful cavaliers ever since.
As our family grows you will see them on our girls and boys pages.
Because of our life style, we are home alot so our dogs and puppies
receive lots of attention and are raised
here with us in our home and not in a kennel. They are all part of
the family.
We have two boys as well as nieces and newfews who also
love to help out and make sure
the puppies are well socialized. We now have a couple grandchilden as well who love to help socialize the puppies.
Our puppies are micro chipped, wormed several times, have
had their first set of needles
and are vet checked before they go to
their new homes. We
check for health concerns on our dogs
with our vet and with
specialists so our puppies will have the best chances in life.
I've brought dogs in from others breeders who do health checks as top priority and some have
come from from Ontario, Nebraska, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and even Czech Republic over the years.
I've done this to keep lines unrelated too closely.
I've met some great breeders and friends over the years.
I take my dogs to my regular vets on a regular basis for thorough check ups.
They have their heart, eyes, patellas, etc. checked and given a good go over to look for any concerns.
I take them to see the Cardioligists at the Atlantic Vet Collage, PEI to see
Dr. Cote and/or Dr. Sullivan to have breeder evaluations done.
I also take them to the Vet Collage to see the eye specialist there but mostly I take
them over to New Brunswick to see Ophthalmologist Dr. Cheryl Cullen at Cullen Web.
Some of the dogs in my lines have been checked for SM/CM by MRI though I have not myself
as of yet. It's still a huge study and so unknown but I do keep myself aware of it and watch for
any signs so that I do not breed any dogs with symptoms of SM/CM.
There are many links on my links page in regards to health. And you can also find health info
on the Cavaliers of Canada website.

This is me with Casey over at a friends house.
It was a very exciting day for me as I got to meet Norma Moffat and Joan McIntyre
and of course some of their dogs.
They are two wonderful respected breeders living in Ontario.
It was an honor to meet them.
